I’m excited to share with you the final cover art (Korra drawn by Joaquim Dos Santos and painted by me, with a background painting by Fred Stewart) for the upcoming Korra Book One: Air art book, published by our good friends at Dark Horse Books. This was a real labor of love (heavy on the labor) for Mike, Joaquim, and me and all those who helped as we put this book together, and we are so proud of all the great artists’ work inside and can’t wait to share it with all of you. The plan is to do one of these art books per “book” of Korra (so four total), which is daunting yet fantastic.

Bryan just posted the amazing cover of the upcoming Korra art book! It will have tons of awesome pre-production art from book 1 and captions from me, Bryan, and Joaquim describing what went into developing the story and look of the show.
Here is the cover art for the Legend of Korra Book 1 DVD/Blu-Ray that Ryu Ki Hyun drew and I colored. It will be released on July 16th, 2013. Here’s a link to an IGN article with more info.
idk if i was just clueless and uninformed of the korra news last year for book 1, but i remember the wait being incredibly painful too, with the crew releasing a trailer and a boatload of info at comic-con, similar to what we got for book 2 (sans trailer but I think there’s no trailer this time because we already know what the world of korra is like), and then months pass suddenly korra nation is created and nick announces that korra is airing in april
it’s pretty similar to what’s happening now: so much info in the summer, then a wait that is practically hush-hush with some teasers here and there but not much, and then BAM KORRA’S HERE
whether it comes out in the spring, summer, or even (god forbid) fall, at least we know korra comes out THIS YEAR
Book 2 color correction with Eska and Bolin.
And I’m just learning about this confirmation of Book 2’s release NOW?
